This week is going to be a hodge-podge of stuff!  We are getting closer and closer to our move-out date, and we are just trying to consume as much of the food we have on hand as possible.  Plus, I am working on the final exam for the summer class I took, so I am pretty busy outside of the kitchen this week!

I bet sometimes readers see this list and think, “What are the 3-year-old and 1-year-old going to eat?”  Especially when I write things like Sushi!  Well, for the most part, they eat what we do.  Sometimes it’s a modified version of what we eat.  For example, on the Caesar salads, the kids will just have the chicken with some veggies instead of lettuce.  For the sushi, the kids will probably eat leftovers from another meal.  And if you’re thinking, “Sushi?  In Kansas?”  Yes 🙂 We are fortunate to live close enough to a major airport where fresh fish is flown in daily.  There are a couple of supermarkets that have full-time sushi chefs on staff, and you can get a meal of fresh sushi from the supermarket for less than if you were to dine out at a restaurant.  So, we are treating ourselves one night 🙂

Dinners
Slow-Cooker Chicken Tostadas
Chicken Caesar Salads
Ramen Skillet Supper (new recipe to us)
Cheese & Crackers/Bread
Steaks or Salmon on the grill
Sushi
Calzones (from the freezer; didn’t get to them last week!)

What’s on your menu plan this week?
