Do you have an oven that heats up your entire kitchen (or house?!) when you use it?  I do.  I try hard to keep it turned off during the hot summer months, but sometimes the craving for a cookie/sweet is just too much!  However, with no-bake recipes like these No Bake Peanut Butter Squares, you’ll forget about running your oven for at least 30 minutes to bake cookies.  My favorite thing about these squares is that they taste so similar to Reese’s cups.  Trust me… You have got to try these peanut butter and chocolate treats soon!

Spread this into the prepared pan.  You might want to use clean hands to press it down into the pan evenly.

Melt the chocolate chips in a small microwave safe bowl on High, stirring every 15 seconds, until melted.

Spread the chocolate on top of the peanut butter layer.  And not on the counter top 😉

Refrigerate the bars for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares.  I find that if I “pre-slice” the squares as soon as the chocolate starts to set, then finish the cooling, they are easier to cut and serve later.  And try to keep your family out of the pan before you get a final picture 🙂
