When I first made this Sweet & Spicy Tilapia recipe, my son went on and on about how delicious he thought it was. I was really surprised that a 5-year old would be so excited to eat fish.  He ate seconds, and I think if we would have had more, he would have had thirds!

Sweet & Spicy Tilapia

Here is what you need… I used tangerines instead of oranges this time, but you could also just use orange juice.

What You Need

Mix together all of the ingredients and pour over the tilapia.

MarinadeMarinate

Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.  The tilapia I was using was still a little bit frozen, so it thawed in the refrigerator while it marinated.

Ready to Broil

Line a baking sheet with foil and preheat the broiler.  Lightly spray the foil with baking spray, and arrange tilapia in a single layer, saving the marinade. Broil 5 minutes on each side.

Ready to BroilBroiled

Meanwhile, in a small pan on the stovetop, bring marinade to a boil.  Boil and stir for about 2 minutes, then lower the heat to simmer.  Simmer the marinade until thickened.

MarinadeMarinade

Serve the tilapia with the marinade while hot from the broiler.
