In case you have not noticed, by the lack of new recipe posts, life has been all sorts of crazy for us lately.  And to be honest, blogging has not been my top priority.  Not only is it more difficult to do in the winter with fewer hours of daylight, I also have not had much time on the weekends (when there IS daylight when I’m home!) to get around to it.  I am disappointed that I have not been sharing more recipes with you all on a more regular basis lately.  I am still working on finding the right balance, and I can say that it’s probably going to always be a work in progress!

In other news, we took chili to our friends’ house as a part of a “chili cook-off” and ours won!  My husband and I threw together several different recipe, and it was quite tasty.  We will have to make it again and make sure to take pictures of the process and final product so that we can share it with you all!  If you’re in the mood for a meaty, no-beans chili with a little bit of heat, stay tuned 🙂
