Whole Wheat Blueberry Muffins

I have been making these Whole Wheat Blueberry Muffins for some time now, and I am not sure why I have not shared this recipe with you all yet!  Regardless, this is currently our favorite recipe for blueberry muffins, no matter what time of year.  During the summer, we use fresh blueberries.  In the winter, we use frozen blueberries, and they are still delicious.  I hope that you will enjoy this blueberry muffin recipe as much as we do!

Simple Blondies

Are you a fan of blonde brownies?  I am!  These chewy bars have the texture of brownies, but taste more like a buttery, chewy cookie than a chocolatey brownie.  This recipe for Simple Blondies is a great one to have on hand.  It takes about 30 minutes to go from, “Let’s make something” to actually taking it out of the oven!  And chances are, all of the ingredients are in your kitchen.

Grandma Carol’s Peanut Butter Fudge

I have shared a recipe for peanut butter fudge once before, but that was before my Grandma Carol’s recipe turned up after being lost for awhile!  I was so happy when my mom told me she had it. This is the smoothest, most peanut-buttery fudge you will ever taste.  Make a batch for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, because nothing says I love you quite like this delicious treat!

Chubby Hubby Truffles

Last Valentine’s Day, I featured a sweet & salty peanut butter cookie.  This year, I am again featuring the peanut butter/pretzel/chocolate combination with these Chubby Hubby Truffles. These are peanut butter pretzel bites that are so easy to make.  Thinking about giving candy for Valentine’s Day?  Making the candy yourself would make your gift just that much more special.  If the sweet/salty combination isn’t your thing, try some chocolate truffles instead!

Appetizer Enchilada Meatballs

It’s almost the day of the big game! Meatballs are a fun party food, and it’s always nice to find a new way to jazz them up.  I thought it would be fun to make a Mexican-style meatball dipped in enchilada sauce… Put them on a tortilla triangle, top with a cilantro leaf, and you’ve got Appetizer Enchilada Meatballs!

Soft & Chewy Molasses Cookies

Soft & Chewy Molasses Cookies are a perfect addition to your holiday cookie tray.  They are not as spicy as gingerbread (not to mention not as much work!), but very flavorful and sweet. This recipe makes a lot of cookies, so find a festive plate and share with family and friends!

Simple Kettle Corn

One of the things that I love about fall is going to fall festivals, pumpkin patches, and orchards/farms.  Inevitably, there is a food stand or cart selling fresh kettle corn.  The perfect balance of sweet, salty, and crunchy… It is so hard to resist.  So, we usually end up buying a bag and the family finishes it before we get home.  Given our love of popcorn, I have been determined to make it myself, so that we could enjoy it any time.

Simple Kettle Corn

This recipe for kettle corn is so simple that you will have it memorized in no time.  Don’t be intimidated by making popcorn on the stove– it is easier than you might think!
